About GAME WIKI

Our mission, architecture, and principles of independent knowledge preservation.

1. The Independent Gateway Vision

GAME WIKI (game-wiki.org) was built to solve a growing problem in online gaming culture: valuable player research, strategy tables, and deep lore guides are frequently scattered across ephemeral forum threads, bloated commercial wikis, or locked inside closed social platforms.

Our gateway provides a persistent, curated index where players can discover dedicated standalone wikis for independent and mid-tier titles.

2. Architectural Independence

Unlike monolithic wiki farms that force all games into cookie-cutter templates and centralized constraints, each game indexed on GAME WIKI lives on its own dedicated subdomain (e.g. slots-and-daggers.game-wiki.org).

├── slots-and-daggers.game-wiki.org ➔ Standalone Game Wiki
└── ... (Each independently deployed & maintained)

Subdomain isolation means creators can choose their own frontend framework (Astro, Next.js, Vite), retain 100% control over their database schemas, and deploy without being constrained by centralized platform limitations.

3. Standardization via Portal Pack Contract

New wikis join the codex through the Portal Pack Contract. Authors supply structured metadata (entry.yaml) and high-resolution key art. The total portal automatically generates verified bilingual manifest files, checks cryptographic checksums, and allocates an immutable Archive Number.

4. Non-Official Disclaimer & Source Integrity

GAME WIKI is an independent, non-commercial indexing directory created by and for gamers. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the directory and its subdomains are not endorsed by, directly affiliated with, maintained, or sponsored by game publishers or developers.
